Homekey Project

Homekey Project

Homekey has 7 schemes within its Supporting People to provide 204 bedspaces for people with support needs. We accommodate people of all ages but predominantly under 25 years old and with varying levels of support needs. Our main function is to assist people to maintain their tenancy with us with the ultimate aim of their becoming the tenant of the same property with the original landlord.

Referrals are accepted from any agency but not from individuals.

All accommodation is furnished to a reasonable standard and tenants are given an assured shorthold tenancy.

Most of these are in BCHT properties, mainly flats but some houses up to 3 bedrooms.

We have 16 floating support places in Private rented accommodation 8 for single people and 8 for families.

We have a 30 place scheme for refugees who require support to maintain their accommodation and we have a surgery for this group on Wednesday afternoons with a Kurdish/Arabic speaking Support Worker in attendance.
